In the most basic terms “Organic” is defined as “produced by Nature...not
made by man”...
100% Organic farming works with Nature’s
natural systems to create and maintain
healthy soils, waters, and air.
Organic crops are raised without synthetic chemical fertilizers, herbicides,
pesticides, or Genetically
Modified Organisms (GMOs), optimizing and sustaining the health and
productivity of interdependent communities of soil life, plants, animals, and
people.
At the farm...Crop rotation, Composting, Cover Crops, and Cultivation are used to replace the commonly used chemical soil preparations, fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.
At processing ...we also use a simpler ORGANIC technique, replacing synthetic chemicals with natural biodegradable cleaners, eliminating synthetic chemical additives commonly used during the processing of conventional vegetables. We maintain the integrity of our products through a clear chain of custody as well as strict WSDA & USDA production requirements.
We, as organic farmers, are committed to build and maintain fertile living soils while protecting the intricately woven nature of our planet. Living healthy soils, build healthy vegetables and fruits, which are not only nutritious but great tasting! Organic farms, crops, and surrounds become sanctuaries for wildlife whose delicate existence depends upon healthy habitat.
At Willow Wind Organic Farms we stay close to this simple definition. By using only the most natural fertility, growing, and processing techniques our products are guaranteed 100% ORGANIC. Pure & Simple.
